Peer Review Process
Journal of Rachana Interior is committed to peer-review integrity and upholding the highest standards of review. The peer-review process consists of initial review, double-blind review, and the decision by the editor.
- Initial Review: The editor evaluates the submitted manuscript to determine if the content is suitable for the journal, also subjected to a similarity check procedure using Turnitin to identify any indication of plagiarism. Manuscripts with contents that are not suitable for the journal or with a high percentage (above 20%) of similarity will be returned immediately to the author(s).
- Double-Blind Review: once submitted manuscript has been assessed for suitability by the editor, it will then be double anonymous peer reviewed by minimum two independent, anonymous expert referees, while the author(s) also remain anonymous for reviewers. Each reviewer is assigned to evaluate and provide at least one report or recommendation for a manuscript. In assigning the reviewers, the editor is responsible to avoid the conflict of interest during the review process.
- The editor makes the final decision on the acceptability of a manuscript based on the report or recommendation of the reviewers.
Editor will decide on initial review stage whether to accept, reject, or seek for adjustments to submitted manuscript immediately. On double-blind review stage, editor will distribute reviewers' comments to author(s) within 4 weeks. If needed, there is possibility for conducting extra double-blind review and author(s) will be notified. After receive reviewer’s comment, author(s) will have time for adjustment in 4 weeks.
